My Favourite Vegan Treats

My Favourite Vegan Treats

Spread the love

I know I know, who cares about vegan treats? Surely they’ll taste disgusting and leave me feeling horrified and hard done by! WRONG! I became a vegan in July of last year and I’m not going to lie…treats were my main concern. I eat healthy wholefoods 90% of the time but I love a good treat and have a huge sweet tooth so this was a genuine concern for me. Where would I be without my beloved cadburys?? It was a bit of a struggle at first but over the last year I’ve discovered some YUMMY things to indulge in that won’t leave you feeling like an afterthought.

  1. Nobo

Known best for their DELICIOUS ice-cream, Nobo (no cow in Irish) is an Irish company making amazing “ice-creams” from avocados and coconuts. They come in all kinds of flavours that are honestly all fabulous but my favourites are probably the chocolate and toasted almond or mint toffee. Amazing! And just when you thought this company couldn’t get any better…they bring out CHOCOLATE!!! I’ve tried a lot of vegan chocolates and the quality tends to vary greatly but these little discs of goodness are honestly magical! You can check out their Irish stockists here. Try them and thank me later.

2. The Happy Pear Bites

A new addition to the lads amazing range, these bites are honestly so delicious and the definition of “moreish”. They’re made from all natural ingredients and come in three flavours: seeded cookie, tiffin and salted caramel. My favourites are the tiffin bites but you’re pretty safe no matter what you choose. You can find them in a lot of health food stores, Centra Ireland and Supervalu stores.

3. Take A Veg Doughnuts

These guys have made a recent comeback to Dublin and they are back with a BANG!! They’re serving all kinds of delicious street food from their v trendy location in Moore Street shopping centre. I could honestly write a whole separate post on this place but their doughnuts are literally incredible! The best vegan baked good I’ve ever had and even better…they change up the flavours regularly so no getting bored. Check out their instagram and tag me when you indulge!

That’s it, my 3 favourite vegan treats. There’s definitely a few more that didn’t quite make the list but if you’ve any more suggestions let me know in the comments below. As always, thanks for reading 🙂
